Love is the very essence of life. It is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Yet it is not found only at the end of the rainbow. Love is at the beginning also, and from it springs the beauty that arched across the sky on a stormy day. Love is the security for which children weep, the yearning of youth, the adhesive that binds marriage, and the lubricant that prevents devastating friction in the home; it is the peace of old age, the sunlight of hope shining through death. How rich are those who enjoy it in their associations with family, friends, and neighbors! Love, like faith, is a gift of God. It is also the most enduring and most powerful virtue.” ~Gordon B. Hinckley

1st visit

Okay I'll go - thanks Mykayla for sharing the YW Values - a beautiful talk.

I remember the first time I was going to meet Grandpa and Grandma Reynolds. My grandparents (all 4) had passed away by the time I was 16, so this whole grandparent thing was an added bonus for me to marrying Jeff.

We were going to Nathan and Mandy's wedding at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. I had met Ron/Judy only a few months before. I was 'scared' by some of the Reynolds cousins when we arrived (not naming names, but I do remember), that Grandpa Reynolds would pull me aside and interview me - scariest thing ever - or so I was told. :)

Grandpa Reynolds found me in the hallway of the church after everyone had gathered for food. I was nervous - why would he interview me?! I've been sworn to secrecy, but yes VERY scary. ;)

That was my first interaction with most of the Reynolds clan - sarcastic, fun-loving, and rowdy. I'm not sure I've blushed more or been so shocked than when this family gets together. All in good fun of course. I'm grateful to be part of a great family!
